Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the browser game Gas Rush Miami (the “Game”) collects, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and what choices you have. “Puntivo Games”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of the Game and of puntivo.games (a business of Homeshopie LLC). The Game is free, runs in your web browser, and needs no account to play.
1. What we collect
a) Stored only on your device (never sent to us)
- Game settings and progress in your browser’s localStorage, under keys that start with
grm.— for example your graphics quality, sound, music/radio station and volume, your best score, coin bank, unlocked vehicles and paint, your top-10 scores on this device, your driver name, and whether you have seen the tutorial. - This data stays in your browser until you clear it (browser settings → clear site data).
b) Sent to our leaderboard service (Cloudflare Worker + database)
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Driver name (username) you choose, 3–16 characters. It is public. | Shown on the leaderboard and your score card; usernames are unique. |
| Run and score data: score, distance, coins, gas cans, vehicle used, timestamp, and the time a run took. | Ranking (all-time and weekly) and checking that scores are plausible (anti-cheat). |
| Guest device ID: a random number created on your device; we store only a one-way hash of it. | Lets the same device keep the same guest account and name without signing in. It is not linked to your identity. |
| Session token kept in localStorage. | Keeps you logged in to your guest or Google account. |
c) If you use “Sign in with Google”
Sign-in uses Google Identity Services. When you sign in, Google gives our server a signed ID token about your Google account, and our server reads these claims from it:
- your Google account ID (an opaque identifier) — this is the only Google item we store (in our database, next to your chosen username and scores) so that we recognise your account the next time you sign in;
- your name — included by Google in the token, but our server ignores it: it is not stored, not shown and not used (your leaderboard name is always the driver name you choose yourself);
- your email address (and whether Google has verified it) and profile picture — included by Google in the token, but we do not store them, display them or use them.
In total, for a Google account we store: the Google account ID, the username you chose, and your scores and run data (see table above). We do not store your email address.
Signing in while playing as a guest upgrades that guest account in place, so your username and scores are kept. Google handles your Google account under its own Privacy Policy. Signing in is optional; the Game and leaderboard work as a guest.
d) Technical data
Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address and basic request data (browser type, page requested) to deliver the site, prevent abuse and rate-limit the API. We do not store IP addresses in our leaderboard database. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless): it gives us aggregate page-view statistics (pages, country, device and browser type) without cookies, without fingerprinting and without tracking you across sites. Your IP address is used only for rate-limiting and abuse prevention and is not written to our leaderboard database. The Game sets no tracking cookies.
2. How we use information
- To run the Game and the online leaderboard (rank, weekly boards, your best score).
- To create and identify your guest or Google-linked account and show your chosen username.
- To prevent cheating, spam and abuse, and to moderate offensive usernames.
- To keep the service secure, working and fast, and to understand aggregate usage so we can improve the Game.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
3. Google API Services User Data Policy — limited use
Gas Rush Miami’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request basic sign-in identity (OpenID). Of what Google provides we store only your Google account ID. We use that information only to provide and improve the user-facing sign-in and leaderboard features; we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features (our hosting processors below) or to comply with law; we do not use it for advertising; and no humans read it except where needed for security, to comply with law, or with your consent.
4. Advertising
The Game currently contains only a placeholder for an optional “watch an ad to continue” feature; no real advertising network is connected and no ad cookies or ad trackers are loaded. If we add a real ad network in future (for example a rewarded-video provider), that provider may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. We will update this policy before that happens and, where required, ask for your consent.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell or trade personal information. We share data only with service providers that process it for us:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the website (Cloudflare Pages), runs the leaderboard API (Workers) and stores leaderboard data (D1 database); provides cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC — provides “Sign in with Google” (only if you use it).
Your username, scores and ranks are public on the leaderboard. When you use the Share button, your device or the app you choose receives the score image and text; that is under your control and the other app’s own policy. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Game and its players.
6. Retention
Data in your browser stays until you clear it. Leaderboard data (username, scores and run data, hashed guest ID or Google account ID) is kept while the leaderboard is operating or until you delete it yourself (see section 7) or ask us to. We may remove accounts or scores that are abusive, cheated or inactive.
7. Your choices, access and deletion
- On your device: clear the site’s data in your browser to erase all
grm.*settings and the stored session. Sign out from the Online panel to remove the sign-in session from the device. - Sign-in: you can revoke the Game’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete my data (self-service): open the leaderboard (🏆) in the Game and tap Delete my data at the bottom of the Online panel, then confirm. This immediately and permanently deletes your online account from our database — your username, Google account ID or hashed guest ID, all your scores and run history, weekly-board entries and friend links — and removes the account, name and session from your device so you start again as a new guest. It works for guest and Google accounts.
- Request by email: write to puntivoyt@hotmail.com from any address, tell us your username (or what you need corrected), and we will delete or correct your online data and confirm. We respond and complete requests within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA) you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data and to object to certain processing. We honour these requests for the data we hold, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising them.
8. Children
The Game is a general-audience arcade game and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Sessions and run tokens are cryptographically signed, guest device IDs are stored only as hashes, and Google ID tokens are verified on our server and are not stored. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we limit what we collect precisely so there is little to lose.
10. International transfers
Cloudflare operates a global network, so information may be processed in countries other than yours, with the safeguards described in Cloudflare’s own policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game changes (for example when real advertising or new sign-in options are added). The “Last updated” date above shows the current version, and we will make material changes visible on this page before they take effect.
